Elmvale Veterinary Hospital is accredited by the College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO) and provides veterinary care to the Southern Georgian Bay area of Simcoe County including Barrie, Springwater, Tiny, Tay, Wasaga Beach, Midland and Penetanguishene.

Our team includes Dr. Ken Storimans, Dr. Andrea Alfred, and Dr. Stacey Mabbott as well as veterinary technicians: Amanda, Scott, Logan, Sam and Mandy.

Our history

Over 70 years ago, Dr. William Brack opened a veterinary service in the 1940s on County Road 92 near the Old Elmvale Sales Barn.  In 1953, Dr. John Windrem purchased the building and business from Dr. Brack and ran it primarily as a large-animal practice.

The demand for small-animal services increased, however, and in 1967 Dr. Windrem moved Elmvale Veterinary Hospital to its current location at 69 Yonge Street South.

In 1988, Dr. Ken Storimans purchased the clinic and converted it to a small-animal facility as it is run today along with a small animal mobile service.
